Crafts is a term that has been mutilated by the image of the words “handicraft” and “hand-crafted, which have been used for pot-holders, sea-shell novelties, drift wood arrangements, etc. This image has been further ingrained by the consumer magazine “how-to” sections, giving directions for converting toilet paper rolls, milk containers and other discarded items into hand-crafted objects.
